Description
The day after the Straw Bear Festival (photos of which we posted last month) all the straw from the bear is burned in a public display after a morning of music, dance and merriment.
'Bear Burning' on the Sunday leaves the way open for a new bear to be created from the next season's harvest.
It's quite sad seeing him die back after all the fun he's had and the pleasure given to so many the previous day.

Nice hot shot. Aloha
Awesome shot!!
Is this all good things must come to an end? The consuming fire is interesting to watch even in a still photograph. Nice.
This is a really good capture of 'flames' in action! Great shot! Rob.
Stunning clarity and details!
As something of a pyromanaic I find this pic very exciting. It is suberbly composed too!
