Description
The Museum of Flight contains a wonderful exhibit in a building known as the Red Barn, which is an original Boeing building. Everything in there is from the days of wooden planes when everything was built by hand.
I couldn't resist the light!

This is incredibly rich and warm, and I love the idea of things being made by hand, things being touched and handled. I wonder if there's a way to read fingerprints and get a feel for all of the people who touched something or used it for whatever it has been used for. This rope is a perfect (and gorgeous) example of that! The textures, the fibers, the color--everything!--is simply perfect. I love this piece, for the way that it looks and for what it evokes.
