Description
Here's my third picture in the series which is intended to chart in picture form the construction of the International Space Station (ISS)in Earth orbit.
July 12th 2000 sees the launch by Russian Proton Heavy Lift Booster of the station's ZVEZDA Module. In the picture you see the Zvezda now attached to the station. Zvezda will provide living quarters and life support facilities for the ISS. Also seen in the picture and attached to the station is a Russian Soyuz, three person spacecraft.
