Description
No cartoon shaders used, of any kind. I hand painted black shadows on top of my dotted skin textures to get the look.
A 3D(2D?) Concept Idea, based around the work of Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein... brings his idea/work into a 3D domain. I made all the textures for V4 skin, hair, and the background.
One single Render entirely in Poser, the only postwork was the wording done with photoshop.
So is really really going out with him?
Your comments, would be appreciated for this concept, if you think I have achieved the correct effect ....
Thanks for looking, Paul

Excellent image! The title reminded me of the words(the first words) in a very, very old song called 'Leader of the Pack.' lol q-: Creative 'n' original idea! (: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syckLQQBShc&feature=fvw
Stunning cartoon artwork!
Interesting concept and at first view it looks very convincing, but as Lichtenstein used regular 2D print screens, I think this is exactly the place where you are better off with a 2D postwork where the 3D distortions would not disturb the result. The 3D texturing idea has extra difficulties with this kind of texture to make it seamless (e.g. on the hand)
Ahhhh Roy Lichtenstein.... all my young years... this is a great homage to him (with some little postwork;;; :-) )
a question I've asked many times.... good stuff, bud... a real departure for this here forum!
...or a song by the same name on joe Jackson's 1st album..;)
I actually love the 3d distortions--it brings something extra to the image, and makes you look twice--hey, it's a cartoon, no, it's 3d, no, it's just awesome!
Very nice modern take on the Pop Art style!
Intresting idea nice result!
very well done!!!
I like the new take!
