Description
1929 Boeing Model 80A-1 in "The Museum of Flight", Seattle, Washington.
This tri-motor aircraft along with the Fokker and Ford Tri-Motors were the first aircraft in the late 1920s to concentrate on carrying passengers rather than mail or cargo. Hence the Boeing Model 80A-1 earned the nickname, "Pioneer Pullman of the Air".
This is the last remaining Boeing 80A-1 in the world. It was recovered from a dump in Alaska in 1960, brought to Seattle and completely restored to its' original condition.
