Description

Hi. Once again continuing my fantasy warrior theme. The picture you see here is of the size I normally create at which is British A4 paper size paper with no enlargement via Photoshop. Yesterday's image was seriously enlarged using Photoshop but because of this I had to save it at a lower KB size than it was created at but that seemed to me to affect the quality. I would value folks comments on which type of picture size/quality they prefer - small picture with high quality finish or large picture with low quality finish. Hope that makes sense.

Great scene.. I Personally Make My images in screen size ratio ( Currently 1680X1050 ) I know that a lot of what I create ends up on someones desktop..

a very fine scene...and yep I know about the problem of the size, I myslef prefer them a bit bigger although there is a loss in quality

very nice image! As for size, I tend to make them more screen sized: anything from 1024X768 to 1920X1200. Compression can be a bitch, though. I never got the hang of photoshop for that. I prefer using PaintShop Pro (usually on an imported .bmp file), where I feel like I can get more control. If the picture needs to be compressed much more than a 12% rate, then I tend to make it smaller and aim for 7-10% compression. Enlarging an image is bound to affect quality, so I never do that. It's always equal to or smaller than the render size.

Exceptional scene! Warm colors, great posing and beautiful lighting. Great work on the path. It is a bit of a disappointment to zoom and find such a small picture. I understand the desire to show the best quality but I think the mind fills in the loss of quality and only sees the beauty.

Kool warrior stance and great background ! I think make your posts as big as you can, as long as you are happy with final compressed result. Well done & ~Cheers~
