Description
A boyfriend with a 64 Impala, 4 on the floor, BIG engine (469 maybe?) actually said that to me one time. So, I did--scared the heck out of him, he had no idea I could DRIVE like that. Worse, one of his dad's friends saw me driving, tattled and guess who got the keys taken away (and his daddy took the Impala away!!!) AND grounded. Guess who I never saw again either?? But, that car, that drive-- OMG--totally worth it!!

Fantastic capture! I love these bits and pieces of cars you've got.
Ah, yes...favorite old memories. I have some of those too. They're downright fun...don't you agree? Great pic of the business office of this classic Impala.
cool pov, nice shot
Very nice shot!
Very nice shot!
But the stearing wheel is on the wrong side of the car???? :( LOL... for me that is! Great one Marilyn! :)
What an extreme result for a harmless little go in a great motor! I love that nice big wheel!
Lovely shot of the dash Marilyn, well done Now did you take this on for a spin too lol!!
I bet wonderful capture warm hugs, Linda
never senn such a perfect shot of something which is really difficult to capture!
Cool shot and story. Ok lets go!
Oh no, what a trusting soul! He was grounded, never to be seen or heard from again. Bet you had a ball zigging and zagging down the residential streets in that bomb. Rev that engine and put the pedal to the metal!!! The steering wheels have sure gotten smaller since those halcyon days. And, please visit my "1957 Chevrolet convertible" that I posted today.
My very first car was an Impala '78.... great engine, roomy vehicle, I just loved it... the only think I didn't like was the gas consumption, it was that kinda car that requires to have a gas station hooked on your car... Great shot, good composition!
this is super. super story too
nostalgie, nostalgie :)) very nice shot.
NICE! I can totally see you speeding. I can see myself in the passenger seat, looking like Richard Lynch next to Bill Hickman as he beat the crap out of a Pontiac Grand Ville in The Seven Ups although I'd actually feel safe with you. The '64 Impala was a beautiful car, and this looks like a similar vintage Chevelelle Malibu SS? Wonderful shot. Makes me feel like I can just get in and drive away...blasting the Beach Boys.
