Description
This puppy is not going to stay small for long. He is part Mastiff, Boxer, and German Shepherd and he will quickly become huge. It's just as well that Dave doesn't realize that--not that it would make any difference: When you're chosen, you have no choice but to go along.
The puppy has a lot going for him: He's got a heart as big as his adult size and he is loyal and loving. There will be several times, when he will save Dave's life or that of someone important to him. The puppy will destroy all of Dave's brand new furniture, but it won't stop Dave from loving the rascal. Puppies have to chew on something and it is usually whatever is closest to them. There will be times when what seemed a good idea to the pup will prove to be otherwise. However, Dave will quickly forgive and still love him. Why? Because the pup will always greet him with enthusiastic affection--even on the hardest, most difficult and unrewarding of days. Because, although Dave has many other relationships in his life, for the pup there is only the Chosen.
This one is dedicated to all who have been chosen; be it by a horse, cat, dog, or whatever creature.
