Description
I told a little about this kitty a few uploads previous. She is not in good shape and almost 19 years old. With each day we care for her, watch good days and not so good days but all are going down a little. Before long she will cross to that bridge in another spirit.
Sure, this is not a great photo. I was compelled to post it by my heart. I will have an Internet memory of this wonderful Maine Coon girl.

I posted this photo some days ago. Sometime before 11:30 tonight, January 29, 2010, Casey took a few deep gasps and gently left us. Her spirit flew to where it was meant to go. Oh my, this has been difficult but I would rather feel love and the pain of a loss than not to feel at all in my heart.

Very sweet.
I think it's a very moving shot. To be honest, as a pet lover' it's this part of having animals thats the hardest for me!
She is beautiful, Tom. I am glad she is spending her last days in your loving family. Hugs gentle for you all. Diane. xx
A sweet capture.
How very right you are to have a photo keepsake,I was with my cat till he crossed that bridge & I also have a photo too.my heart is with you.XXx
lovely capture!!
Its a lovely caring shot, always very hard when our best mates get older xx
I am so sorry to hear about your precious kitty. I lost one in November, she was my best friend for a very long time. I have 5 more, two of which are Maine Coon boys. Salem, one of my Maine Coon boys and the now eldest kitty, is currently on antibiotics. Karma, one of the youngest got a little over zealous and got a hold of his tail. Being much older didn't keep it clean, and well off to the vet we go. My cats are as important to me as all the other members of our family. It's is never easy when they get older and don't fair well anymore. Love her to pieces while she is still with you. Once she is gone, she will be waiting for you on the other side of the bridge. I wish you much love and peace.
Sorry to hear of this my friend. Give her your best attention my friend.
awwwww poor kitty ... lovely memory shot ..its always so heartbreaking to lose a beloved friend for anyone
God bless her Tom and my condolences to you and your family, she will remain in your heart and your mind forever until you can be together in another life, and a happier one. My heart goes out to you, warm hugs and love Jane xx
I love both pictures of your lovely Casey. This for the warmth and loving that radiates from the picture, and the one of Jan. 29th for it's beautiful capture of that mystical grace that is in every cat. I am very sorry for your loss.
Wow, I was touched to read this and the care you showed for this beautiful cat, my cat has started to lose weight, she did it last summer and I was so concerned for her and now I've noticed it again. She is ten years old. She has never ever been one to come into my room only my daughters but after I got home from the hospital after surgery, she suddenly started coming there getting on the bed and sleeping near me it was such a comfort I have tried for years to bring her in there only to have her jump down and leave. Now she still goes in there during the day I will find her sprawled out on my bed and smile.. they are such a part of the family. Sorry for the loss.
