Description
Yes, these are my barns, the ones I spend so much time walking to, wandering around, photographing. I can't get to them right now--that stretch of sand you see is like quicksand and impossible to walk on. This might be the best shot yet--and see that third one? That's another mile or so up the dunes and my next goal.

I'm sure the landscape will change a few times more before you can get back to them; I'm surprised they were built there in the first place! Hopefully the sea won't take them completely, and will leave you enough photo fodder!
Oh wow - it is so great to see the "bigger picture"... Lovely image Marilyn and do be careful! :)
So interesting to see them in the long shot!
Nice view for us all to put things in perspective.
Keen panorama, M! Is that your celebrated beach grass I see along the stretch?
I have been fascinated with quicksand for years, and don't laugh' but have always gone out of my way to see it on many occasions throughout my life! Anyway, lets just say I didn't even notice the barns as soon as you mentioned the QS!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful layering effect in the sand! I love how the middle barn seems to be a perpendicular reflection of the sand. The colors of the grass looks beautiful against the sand. Excellent capture!
cool..!
Nice to see the barns!
WOW! I do like those layered strata! Like quicksand, huh? WOW! Who'd have thunk it? The light is fantastic in this, but I have to say that since I'm a giant science fiction nerd, I immediately noticed the structure on the far right. It looks like a modern house or something, but in a way it also resembles a cargo shuttle or an excursion vehicle capable of holding a fairly large away team; I love it when I see things like that, and it all adds to the wonders of an already great photo. This is wonderful work and I can see why you would hang around this place so much. I would too. I wonder...if you lay down and roll, could you cross the quicksand sands without sinking? I wouldn't try it...but I'd get someone you don't like to try it...for research purposes, you know. This is as good and as fun as your pelicans and your fabric...and seeing those has made my week!
Nice to see the full picture Marilyn it will be nice to see the 3rd barn close up and personal.. Excellent capture of these three..
It's so dark, just like jungle quicksand!! Nice open view and depth in this!!!
I still like the one in the middle best. Something about the shape, texture, color, really appeals to me. Wonderful long shot!
Great shot and wow like quicksand very scary stuff.
Super depth and still able to see the many details of the barns, are these all abandoned barns? I have to get a better camera! And move back to the country away from all these telephone poles and massive amounts of wires that obscure ones view...this is just beautiful Marilyn!
love the moutains in the distance warm hugs that smile, Linda
