Description
The J. Paul Getty Museum courtyard contained many works of art. This one has great details, if you care to ZOOM. I do not know what happened to his spear. Maybe 6 feet (183cm) tall.
Scanned from a photo, taken in the early 80s.

I see warrior women and I think of Athena, the gray-eyed goddess of war and hunting and all sorts of fun stuff...she was quite the tomboy you know and an oddity in the ancient Greek world for her gray eyes: a distinctly recessive trait that had to leave a bunch of dominant-traited brown-eyed folk rather stunned. This is a gorgeous shot, and I love the play of light and texture. There are shadows here, but they're more implied than seen and the colors are nicely subtle. Great work.
My first thought was Athena as well! fantastic photo of this beautiful statue

Fantastic shot! Very clean statue for outside. The spear, most likely removed for safety reasons. Get the point! ;D
Think he threw the spear at a visitor, wonder who keeps everything so clean!!!!

Nice piece of art! Yes, perhaps she threw her spear at a disorderly visitor, LOL
