Description
This is a Bearded Barbet (Lybius Dubius). I was in a jungle setting at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom, Orlando, Florida. This Barbet flew in, one quick snap and s/he was gone. Maybe 8 inches (20cm) and quite fast. Not my best work and I'm not happy with the vine in the way.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments and favs.

On shots like this you take what you can get and hope for the best:) I've never seen one of these before. Not bad...a worthy upload for a rarely seen bird.
Good Eyes...Sweet shot
Superb shot, coooool bird!!!
Awww....lovely bird my dear friend, amazing shot!
Wow...he/she DOES have a beard! And what beautiful colors! I am truly learning how hard it is to photograph birds, LOL.
Great shot, Dana!
You did a pretty good job capturing this evasive avian, Dana, focusing it well amidst the surrounding blurred foliage. Except for the size of the bill, that birdie looks like a miniature toco toucan.
That's a very interesting bird... great capture!
Tuff shot! I have to agree with Bill, some birds just will not sit still for a photoshot. Great capture!
You caught this one on the fly (pun intended!!) What a gorgeous bird.
You take what you can get, when you can get it and I think you did a marvelous job with what you had to work with. It is a good shot that has a natural feeling to it and that makes up for the lack of studio behind it. :-)
Non sempre le cose vanno come si vorrebbe ! Comunque una bella cattura di un uccello non molto comune ! Mai visto prima ! Things do not always go as you want! However, a nice capture of a bird is not very common! Never seen before!
The last time I took pictures of birds I binned the lot, this shots pretty good.
Great that you caught that much - it's always worth it!
what a funny bird!!! Great picture!!!!
Great shot of this little seen bird, & he has got a beard, bless him!!!!!
fantastic shot of a beauty!
what a pretty bird ! nice shot of him
This is a beautiful capture!
We don't always get to choose our setups, do we? You did well, especially given the circumstances!
I have never seen one so this is a great shot. Awesome.
TERRIFIC SHOT!!!!
what a wonderful and different looking bird!! Great capture ..don't mind the vine!!
