Hi again and Failte! Friends, at first thanks for your interest at my last pic and for your comments. Everyone is welcome and helpful. Today an architecture pic from a beautiful building: ROSSLYN CHAPEL south of Edinburgh. ROSSLYN CHAPEL was our most boring place of ur whole journey, and there were three reasons: 1. Rosslyn Chapel is "under construction" 2. Rosslyn Chapel is overcrowded with tourists 3. It is forbidden to take photos inside..... Rosslyn Chapel today is heavy damaged by wind and storm, acide rain and the centuries. So the whole church is covered with a workers construction in the moment, and big parts of the stone carvings and figures outside must be constructed completely new; the repairs last some years, it seems. So a fine picture from outside is recently not able. After Dan Brown`s bestselling book and film "The DaVinci Code" the Rosslyn Chapel is overcrowded with busloads of tourists, searching the templar treasure or hidden secrets. Somebody is everytime between your lens and the object to take a pic from. It is forbidden to take photos INSIDE; I don`t know why, but I have to accept this. Fact is: Inside are the best stonecarvings Scotland can offer, lots of them, they cover every stone , every ankle, every pilar, some as ornaments, some as symbols, some as faces.... I am very sad that I was not able to take some from the inside. Resume: Some bad circumstances momentary, but a stunning place and a must-see for all archtitectural freaks like me! This pic here shows parts of the side door with 2 gargoyles. The little podests were once bases of four figures. Hope you enjoy this pic. The history of this place is following tomorrow. This was the "official" part, and now the "fun" part: Gift of today is another music clip, a battle of fiddlers. The combatantes are: SIR ALY BAIN, legendary fiddler from the Shetland Islands far out in the North, and JENNA REID, a young upgrowing talent from the Shetland Islands and member of the all-female group "Dochas". The Title is named "SOPHIE`s DANCING FEET, and they play it very fast. This was recorded 2007 and it is the Opening song from the legendary "Transatlantic Sessions 3" The session house band is in a good shape and all have a lot of fun..................
