Description

The original background looked boring, so I decided that the three swinging figures would liven it up, hence "photo manipulation".

LOL well you fooled me! At first look my thought was "what an odd place to put swings, but it sure looks fun" and then I read your explaination... Great work on the manip, I really thought that was where they were. : )

Also I had a feeling, the figures were not born in this picture, but they fit well in here and give it life :-)

the addition is wonderful & natural, they're there as apparitions, whispers; and the verticals of the swing-cables seems to go up to infinity. Fine work once more, and your grays are a world to themselves: They're modulated & rich & suggestive & yet still 'grays'. Also, as you always do in this tonal universe, you get a delicate balance between atmosphere & detail. The frontal tree is a prime example. Beautiful work, and the swing-ers add a touch of caprice to it all, play at the end of a long journey into the mists...

I had no idea the swinging figures were additions to this photo. They look so real, like they belong there. This is amazing! It's like one of those dreams you know you had, but you can't remember all of it, but the parts you do remember are vivid, but a little bit hazy. Those trees are spooky, but not forbidding. This is really good!

You never cease to amaze me. This is a gorgeous photo without the tweaked additions, but with those three swinging figures, there is just an extra element of wonder that you've added. You work with such sensitivity and grace that I'm always awed and inspired and this piece is no exception. I love the buttery sepia tones, and I'm also intrigued by the complex mood at play here. How utterly beguiling! This is hypnotic in its beauty.
