Description
Built in 1990, Two Prudential Plaza is 64 floors of reinforced concrete, granite, and glass.
It has an antenna on the top, but it looked weird after I replaced the sky, so I took it out. Sorry about that.
Replaced the sky? Oh gosh ... maybe I should have told you. The day I took these pictures the sky was blue and beautiful, but it didn't come through in the photos. Most of the tall building shots I've posted have had the sky replaced.
You wouldn't believe me if I told you where I got these gorgeous blue-sky-puffy-cloud shots! It was actually right here in Seattle. We do what we can! :)

Very impressive work and building!
Of course we do--I couldn't see that blue moon last week because it was cloud, so I just made my own!! Wait, Seattle had blue skies???? And I missed it??? Ok, enough silliness--I love these seriously tall buildings, I just have to go back and find my own, I guess!!

Ah, the stylus! That's what I always called that building...it looks like a giant, expensive pen; the kind you'd use if you don't mind an angular pen that hurts your fingers. This is wonderful, and I love the replaced sky. That's what I like about art in general...reality can be tweaked to look more real. I recognized that the antenna is missing, but I chalked it up to being a trick of perspective, and in a funny way, it's like a pen even more, with the writing ball retracted. I love that and as always I love your Chicago shots...you make this city look gorgeous!

First thing I am looking at is the bold reflection/shadows from across the street. Very nice work aligning your verticals. And look, Two Prudential Plaza has shoulders...a lot of them. It is easy to see the difference between each of the tall buildings you've uploaded in this series. Great job.

(fake! fake!) I know, you stick seattle in the heart of chicago because you still think we're too flat. You're hoping to get some freakin' hills in this place. Well it doesn't matter, your seattle transfusions are totally seamless. I'd never know. (Besides, aren't Seattle skies supposed to be dark, rainy and depressing? Did you shoot this that one hour in July when you actually have light & 'blue'? You guys do know 'blue', right?) It's a beautiful shot, another of your silhouettes; and, with bill, I love the shadows and geometric plays across the surface. That's what architecture's all about, it's meant to incorporate shadow & light into its aesthetic. And your angle is perfect too (actually centered almost perfectly---which your angle betrays, as angles should). Another gem from you, and amazing to see this and not recognize it's my city! Fine job again. Tara.

This is a very nice shot. Sometimes you don't think about how tall something is until you see it through somebody else's eyes and well...this is one tall building. I like this picture a lot, but since I live here, I can see that there's a little bit of surgery that's been done up on top. That's ok though, this is gorgeous.
