LEST WE FORGET ----
It's only been ten years since the dark night when Y2K struck worldwide.
Who can forget the mounting terror as we watched horrified as, in time zone after time zone, modern technology turned itself off ?
Yet even now, the human tendency to ignore the bad times has lessened the impact of that awful night.
If you mention the disasters and deaths of Y2K, people go "But nothing happened... Right?"
And so the International Y2K Commemoration Committee announces a worldwide Moment of Commemoration.
As Midnight strikes, take a moment to reflect on those who lost everything on that dark night ten years ago.
And ask each other,
"WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT?"

hehe.... at a y2k new years eve party.... what a blast! -jeff
Nothing happened they say. Nothing happened. It was all a dream.
I lost everything during Y2K!!! My life, my family, my house, and ten years worth of food in the basement!!! Everything about me was erased (thank God Renderosity had backups of my drawings)! Being dead has it's advantages, though...I no longer have to waste time taking baths or showers! Yes, rotting in the ground taking a dirt nap is the way to go!!! Maybe by hearing my tragic story, the rest of you will heed the dire warnings of the next Apocalypse...2012!!!
Most excellent tribute, outstanding work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
