Description
Thank you all for your care of my Slow Rotation. Here's the bells of Central Cathedral in Rostov-na-Donu in the early afternoon. Soon they will ring the end of the year 2009.

Beautiful capture...
The tragedy of cables is also visible here. It has become a modern day hazard, any heritage building you want to capture you have to pan through a bunch load of cables. Nice photo. :O)) SNAKEY
Your title is perfect! I love the way the branches weave through the wires and the iron fence. A beautiful counterpoint to the bells. Fantastic image!
Complex and intricate!
Most wonderful... Love the branches etched against the lighter background... Yes - I cannot believe that 2009 lies on its back! :)
Superb image.
these are nice patterns and the bells must sound good.
So very beautiful bells. A very lovely shot.
Wonderful way to show the heritage can still shine through the detrious of the modern age! Bravo Nikolay
Love the contrast in the strength of the silhouettes. magical
I can hear them ringing...or, is that my phone? Wonderful capture.
very fine image, nikolay, i love the composition
superbe !
Wonderful image. Superb post work silk screen effect.
a must full-size. You've turned the walls into silk (Mark's comment above is apt) and delicate grays, with the grooves in the arch showing oh-so-delicately. And the highlights on the branches, as well as on the edge of the arch, are pure nikolay, lines of illumination but always subtly so. And the broad white behind the bells is the completion, the balance of the whole. I don't know why, but it just is. Once again, you've created a language out of a few basic 'groups', they are all so different yet they all communicate with great ease. The off-centered composition brings out the energy all the more, because it feels like it spills out at us. I marvel at your photographic eye. A wonderful piece, once again.
I must see this Cathedral for myself...those bells are amazing and your treatment of the subject is superb. I love the shapes, the interwoven shapes of the branches, the stairway, and everything else in here. There's a potent emotional feeling here and I'm incredibly happy to have seen this here! Great work as always, and you're making me want to see your city even more.
