2.5 Randolph Street.
2.5? Are you kidding me? Half a floor?
This was taken at the same place Marilyn and I took each other's pictures through that glass block wall. I was in a lobby area, and the elevator was behind me.
It didn't FEEL like we were on only half a floor!
If you look at the reflection, you can see me all the way off to the left (well, HALF of me), and Marilyn's walking behind me (notice the bright lime green flip flop just below where it says "street"), and of course Mark in his "waiting for photography to happen" pose. I swear ... that man has the patience of a saint.
This was getting on into the afternoon, and we were headed for Millenium Park.

Another great shot---and yeah, I'll bet I have a gazillion of the "mark waiting for foto op to pass" shots as well. But HE has a camera now, so has joined the ranks of ninja photogs, how fun will that be!!

You all sure found some unique places...2.5, etc. What's with all the machinery in the elevator shaft? Best part, of course, is the multi-reflections of the entire crew. These doors beg a hindred questions:) Nicely seen and expertly captured.

To the ordinary eye, just an ordinary scene. You make them all look so interesting. I read the title but this really makes me think of those old computers with the reel-to-reel tape. And the reflections remind me of those Japanese horror films where you turn around and there's nothing there.

Big floors when they break them in half! Nice change of pace. Too many windows to clean though.
I feel a bit threatened (again!) by these strange workings, but it is a most interesting and complex pic. Love the flip-flop!

This is excellent and I love the fact that all three of you are in it! I noticed Marilyn's flip flop immediately. I love those reflections and Mark in his patient saint pose! Wonderful sense of color. I wonder how you managed to get onto half a floor? It might be an urban superstition thing where a floor is repeated like 2 and 2.5 so that higher up one can safely miss the 13th floor. There are quite a few buildings in Chicago that simply skip floor # 13. At any rate, I love this shot. Those gears are fantastic!
Is it two-and-a-half floors, or half a floor.. ;o) That really gets me. Lots of points of interest in the reflection. Beautiful photo that says a lot. Now that is the point of photography, saying more than what others see. Excellent.

Hmm... Level 2.5 could of been an early version of the Uk band 'Level 42'! The band chose tha name as it is highest level of the worlds tallest carpark! Fun photo, the fact that you can see the lift mechanism was an instant draw for the engineer within me! P

This is really cool! I like the reflections, especially Marilyn's shoe. Chip and I know this loony Russian woman who wears green shoes (and dreads.) You and Mark are in there too! How cool is that? I like the framing of this, especially with that gear showing through the glass. Really nice work.
