Description
Listening to the sounds of rocks breaking apart, moving or looking for a bright red glow at the bottom of the already harden lava tells you something is about to break loose. Set your camera, get ready and cross your fingers. Poof!!!! It Happens. Interesting to know is that the pressure of the fluid lava will slowly inflate the already harden surface and eventually raise it higher than the older lava rocks seen in the background. It was noticeable in some of my time lapse video that the ground would inch its way upwards.
Taking a break away from this lava field series and see what's happening elsewhere. Hope it was enjoyable. Aloha and thank you for viewing

You know that I liked your lava series...you are a man that took a lot risks....each image show their own beauty...thanks for sharing......hope to see other work from you.....some chick on your MOTORBIKE for example....just kidding....before I forget.....wonderful image and I love the patterns in the black area...don't know the name for that...sorry..still a Dutch one
Excellent series my friend. Show us snowed in people the sunny islands...It's cold here.
I do have to keep reminding myself that lava is rock...rock so hot it flows like pudding on a plate. The patterns created by the cooling and by the constant movement inside is really hypnotizing. Outstanding, Errol, and always a pleasure to view.
wonderful picture and a interesting story!!!!
Wonderful! :)
I would love to listen to the sounds of the lava breaking, would be something completely new to me...smile... another fine lava shot, Errol...smile the only sound I can hear here today is the very very soft one of falling snow...smile

This has been one of your best series. You can redo this series frequently and the images are never the same. Hope you saw that me using two of your lava shots in two photo manipulations went over very well in this week's DITI thread on the Photography Forum. Thanks very much for the loan and hopefully, a few more visitors came to your gallery.
