Description
I am so tired tonight but thought that I should quickly post something! My son's cat had 6 kittens last night and I was the nurse and doctor and cleaner... I didn't sleep much... needless to say! Mom and babies are all doing well!
I have captured this "Bottle Brush" last summer. It just shouts summer to me!
Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments and favs on my previous upload!
Stay well!
Hugs, Carin xx
A zoom on this one is recommended!

wonderful picture!!!! congratulate to the addition to the family!
I knew this would be a bright red flower of some sort--you didn't disappoint me. Good thing I don't live close to you,I probably couldn't resist one of the kitties!!
Yes, good thing I'm far away too, I'd probably take all of them, I can't resist kittens. Lucky you, to get to see them develop! Beautiful shot, these say summer and heat to me too.
Beautiful colour, hope the babies & mom will be having their pics taken!!!!
Wonderful reminder! We had our first frost last night.
WOw, Very cool flower :) Awesome shot too!

Really impressive and wonderful!!

Stellar capture of the vividly red bottle brush in summer, Carin! Perfect for scouring out thermos bottles. And, congratulations on the kitten sextet delivery.
great capture!!
SUPERLATIVE SHOT!!!
Glad the kittens are OK, we have a bottle brush like this growing in our garden in the uk.
Very intense red! It screams summer!
they are so wonderful Carin and your shot is just gorgeous, get some rest and congrats to your new kitten family...smile.. I bet they will turn they house upside down soon, as did those 6 my brothers cat had last year...
I will also upload a bottle brush that i have captured on camera nearby where my wife is working.Outstanding capture.Congratulations with the kittens.
Beautiful capture. I know nothing about plants but I shot a picture of a bottle brush near me two days ago. It is still flowering. Good luck with mom and the kids.
Bottlebrush are gorgeous but they attract bees so they are admired best like this...in a brilliantly done photo. :-)
A wonderful bright way to start summer.
Well done, Carin! You have stumped me though.... you have been deleting images! You were on 399 and I thought this was going to be 400. Darn, a week of holding my breath! Good luck with kittens, Clive
Oh beautiful! Het jy al ooit die takke van 'n Bottle Brush met 'n snoeisker geknip terwyl hy blom? En al die fyn rooi blaartjies tussen jou klere en jou sweterige lyf probeer uitkry??? Bad memories!
What a gorgeous photograph! You did a beautiful job of capturing that brilliant red. Six kitties! I hope you'll be able to photograph them when they're in a playful mood, and show us how cute they are! (Ek is jammer ... Ek kon nie weerstaan!) :D
Six kittens? Nice! I'm looking to adopt at least one cat of my own, but not until all of my travel plans are over and done with, which means I'll be adopting a Russian cat that probably meows with something of an attitude and pronounced political savvy. As for this photograph, it's funny because before I even read your comment on it, I thought that you'd photographed one of Nature's cleaning utensils. It's a gorgeous bloom, and it looks a wee bit predatory. Since I know nothing about flowers, I actually do have to ask: does it bite, sting, or at least peck? (Pretty things usually do tend to bite, or at least nibble, after all. This is a gorgeous shot. Wonderfully clear.
Oh Kittens.. I do hope you remembered taking some shots. ?? :-) This is a wonderful red shot. Bottle brush Is a mighty good name for it LOL! VERY beautiful shot.
Excellent!
Lovely should be on a Xmas Tree!!
Wonderful Work!!!
very beautiful I usually have a problem with red flowers . .the red never comes out nice .. .
We have bottle brush trees here Carin but not as spectacular or colorful as these. Awesome detail and contrast. Dana
