Description
La Boca is the most colorful barrio of Buenos Aires. It was settled and built-up by immigrants from southern Italy and southern Spain along the Riachuelo, a small waterway lined by meat packing plants and warehouses. It was in this area where the Tango originated in the bars and brothels in the 1880s.
Today it is partly an artists' colony, the legacy of the late painter Benito Quinquela Martin and colorful houses line the Caminito, a popular pedestrian walk which was once a rail terminus.

What a fascinating shot! I opened it in full view and had a little holiday. The architectural details of those buildings kept my attention for quite a while, and the street scene seems to be a whole different image. Well seen and well shot!

I got to visit Buenos Aires in 2005. Caminito Street was one of my favorite stops on the city tour that I took. Great capture of that lovely neighborhood. It brings back fond memories of the trip. Thanks for sharing.
