Description
Two weeks ago, a dear & very special friend gave me a camera. Whenever I had time, I ran outside and took pictures wildly. This is from my first efforts. I post this humbly because many of you are wonderful photographers & boy do I have a lot to learn. Photography is sooooooo different from painting--it's such a different world, I can't tell you! This is my neighborhood, in "Sweet Home Chicago". Enjoy my far-from-perfect first efforts! And to those of you who helped me so much in this wonderful new world: A thank you as huge as Lake Michigan. You don't know how much you've helped me get started. (A little postwork in PS.)

A so wonderful scene!
This is a wonderful shot! I really like the lighting in this one. I can't wait to see what other captures you share.
Wonderful neighbourhood and really excellent shot !
Welcome to the wide world of photography. I like your neighborhood it seems like a quiet one. This is a really good shot.
Wild Applause, much shouting of Bravo!! and lots of yelling "Encore!!!" Your artist's eye has not failed you in this new endeavor! A marvelous view of your neighborhood, love the feeling of neighborhood because of the little fences, the grassy areas, the trees, the older and the new buildings mixed so wonderfully .. love the play of shadows from the tree branches on the sidewalk, and love how you've captured this scene. Can't wait to see more of what your eye and the camera's eye will see.
"pervy blin komom"(Russian) means something like "first pancake is a lump". your first pancake is far from failure, Mark! carry on!
Sembra una foto di qualche anno fa per la serenità che trasmette.Awesome image!:)
Mark I cannot believe how many of your pics I have missed, and am so sorry for that. I had to turn my ebots off as I could not keep up and so began to comment mostly on those who had visited my gallery. I had not realised you were back and that is why I sent you e-mails lol. I love your first attempt at photography, and I am really interested to see where you live, it looks to be a really nice neighborhood. hugs Jane xx
