Description
Tara, Mark and I walked into this gallery somewhere in Chicago (I think that's going to be the only thing I can say about where I went in Chicago--somewhere!! We went so many places, walked to many miles, I lost track of exactly where I was. Not for the first time......!!)
At any rate. Tara said, "Marilyn, get on the other side", so I did and this is what happened. I didn't even realize Mark was behind her till I started fiddling with this shot just now. She has a couple other versions that are just as fun.
*sigh* I just wan to go back and see MORE!!

Neat POV!!
Fascinating. I like the fun things glass blocks do to people and things on "the far side". We'll have to ask Tara where her counterpart to this photo is... Guys like me with a military background think of something different when we hear "wall of fame" or a bit worse, an "I love me wall". As a person goes through a 20-30 year military career, he/she accumulates award certificates, promotion certificates, letters praising us for some task, ribbons, medals, plaques from former units given when we depart, fancy swords, photos with VIPs, and on and on... Lots of these things get framed. Usually they wind up in a closet, or in a box in storage, but at some point many will decorate a wall somewhere in their home with all this memorabilia. Hence...an "I love me wall". It is good for one's self-esteem if you are into that sort of thing:-)))
excellent image
Great fun image Marilyn! :))
Fun shot.....
I love this...I like anything with a matrix to look through, fences, leaded lights, chain-link...
Great shot Marilyn well done!!
A myriad of frames in this capture, Maz.
I've got a matching image, that's for sure! :) I'm getting around to it ... never fear!
Oooh, this is fun to look at. Glass block always presents such possibilities for funness and even eerieness and at times, just plain, good old fashioned loopy stuff. I love the subtle distortions of glass block, and seeing Mark and Tara there just adds so much more to this, especially since it's weirdly inter-dimensional, like they're there only "there" isn't really where you think it is. This is great. It's fun!
lovely shot and reflections x
nice shot...
I wonder if this is the Museum of Contemporary Art. It might be, but I'm not sure. And about the glass blocks. Are they an installation or a part of the building? They're mysterious and cryptic, and it's really cool to see Tara and Mark back there. It's like you're looking at them through giant, transparent Legos for grownups.
I love glass blocks in any way shape or form; great idea for a shot!
You all had such fun! Cheers, Clive
You guys were having fun. Great idea and result!
I like, how you two have taken shots of the same window and this is so fun to see. A beautiful shot indeed.
Wonderful shot!
So much fun to see the two shots. Glass blocks are so much fun! I love what these are doing to the vertical lines on the floor. Excellent shot!
What a great idea for a shot...nicely done
Just took a look at Tara's version this is as good but the lighting makes it look so different.
