Description
I didn't see the golden sparkles till I uploaded this shot. That particular morning, I missed the actual sunrise by about 5 minutes. My sister and I got a late start (she runs and I ride my bike with her), and I was riding as fast as I could go after she turned around to head back home. It was cold, and my hands and feet were almost numb. But, in the end, it was all worth it---because even if I hadn't gotten a single good foto---that time of day is magic. I mean, how often do you see something like this???

I don't see anything like that in my day to day life, and unfortunately my sunrise moments are often spent in a truckyard at the beginning of a dull day. Ah, but I remember sunrises (with fog) in a far away land full of guys like Pavl who embody the word "quirky." This is a gorgeous shot, and I particularly love the water, the small waveletts and undulations, and that golden splash is just perfect. This is amazing, and quietly touching.
Your hands and feet were numb?? And those poor guys in the chilly water? I don't envy them ... as a matter of fact I don't even understand them ... maybe I am just getting old ... Nice shot!
Now THIS I can relate to, I do bodyboard, (in a very tame sort of way)and that position, back arched, is so familiar to me. What marvellous light!
Beautiful shot, lovely golden reflection and splashes.. Just think if you were cold then these guys must be freezing lol well done Marilyn..
nice lighting
Wonderful image Marilyn! Love the golden sparkles! :)
Beautiful action shot!
excellent piece of action
It does look like liquid gold; great capture!
A joyful activity and the physical part of the action certainly keeps them warm. Well seen and captured:)
Oh gosh, just look at that light! Gorgeous capture.
To them..it's all about the waves...the light is really great here....
You do start your days in a wonderful way! Well done, Clive
great capture...
Very, very rarely, if ever. A race to the finish line! Fabulous POV, clarity, light/shadow and textural effects in this supremo sterling shot, Marilyn! Actually, when you stare at it long enough, the water turns into a plenitude of rippling sand dunes.
Staying in condition..... Nice capture. Aloha
stunning!
Liquid gold!!! It is funny in retrospect what we will do for an image. Ah, no pain no gain! ;~)
