Description
Found this fellow and a lot more of them right beside the sidewalk. A moment later, I saw some of them ejecting their spores like a volcano through the little crater on top, just when being hit by a raindrop.

Voici un spécimen des plus étranges !
What a really neat little fungus!!! Beautiful shot!
This is totally astonishing! What a treasure and your photo is so clear! I am delighted by the details in this.
Excellent shot! Very cool! Collard Earthstar :)
SUPERB pic and a great find!
@kbrog: Thanks for letting me know its correct name! I thought it was a collard earthstar but wasn't sure. The only thing I know for sure is that one shouldn't eat it! ;-)
Wow - great autumn capture!
sehr schöne Arbeit. und herzlichen Glückwunsch!
Well done ! Congratulations on being selected I look forward to seeing many more of your images in the future!
This is a really terrific capture. I am totally unfamiliar with this particular fungus. If you let your imagination go, it actually is startlingly like something someone might make up for a sci-fi show. Wow. Too cool. :)
Sieht aus, wie eine Ausserirdische Spore, die weis was noch werden könnte..... Klasse "erwischt" ;-)
