Description
Not a story some much as a portrait of a place. The Green is a land with the great barrens spaces of my series about the Sweetwater Clan. It is a world where a comet had struck, wiping out most of mankind and reducing our fecund world to a world that is barely clinging to life. However, here and there are remnants of the old Earth--the Earth before the comet. Little pockets of life that remained relatively untouched. Some still hold small gatherings of people; others, like this one, have lost their humans. However, their vehicles, homes, and barns still survive, slowly crumbling or rusting away. It was from such a lush, life-giving place that the Sweetwater Clan were driven out into the Barrens by a larger, stronger clan. When the Sweetwater folk think of Heaven, it looks a lot like this to them.

nice rural scene - great pov!
This is quite nice
Sad but Lovely..
Very lovely scene and great story. Excellent work!!
Your stories are always a treat to read! Was missing those while you were out / off the radar. There seems to be some trees growing middle of the road, though I wonder how the truck's going to get through those. Driver's probably used to it, but still groans about taking the long way around. The cottages look nice, they really fit the landscape. Wish I could get that technical and detailed with Carrara's landscapes as it doesn't provide any useful layouts like your using.
Awesome lush green scene and first rate story!!!
Great .. superb details an textures
