Description
Sunset, Huntington Beach.
I"ll be leaving here soon, and my heart's a bit heavy thinking of that. This has turned into a journey I didn't expect, and going home will be another step on whatever trip I've begun. Just a few minutes ago, I saw something that stung a bit, a reminder of things past, and it still hurts a little. Changed my mood quickly from the fun, smiling foto I just posted**. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Cool! looks like it's on fire!
Good looking photo, the sunlight really bathed this pier in fireworks!
Yes, nothing stays the same. One of natures rules.
Awesome shot.... and a fellow I worked with used the acronym TTSP on a regular basis... and it did pass by the way!!
cool image
like the warm sunlight
stunning effect! RS
So nice...the view and atmosphere in your photo:) ...not the stinging reminder:(
Marilyn you do spend a bit of time under the pier, are you looking for money people drop that rolls through the gaps in the deck lol.. nice sunset shot and love the golden reflection on the water and pier piles.. well done my friend and hope that hurt you feel will pass quickly..take care!!
Things change so often, which is why the Native Americans (the teepee-dwellers in the Plains States) came up with just the saying to capture that. "Only the rocks live forever." I think it might have been the Arapaho who said it the most. Anyway, your comment reminds me of that. It's such a wonderful declaration, and I think that the saying in and of itself simply means that we should cherish the good moments that we DO get, because unlike rocks, they aren't gonna stick around. Conversely, the bad, grotty stuff, like the good stuff, won't stick around. Only the rocks seem to have staying power...and even they're worn down to nothing in sufficient quantities of geologic time. As for this photo. It's an amazing one, so definitely "you" in every way. There's water--the intimate portion of a seascape, there's color (which you always do so well) and the perspective is perfect...in short, this is a gorgeous and superb piece of work.
fabulous shot!!
super looking
Well, don't just leave us all hanging here...what was it that soured your happy and nostalgic mood, Maz? You're always open about other stuff. Really surreal the way the sun has illuminated the pier posts in this great foto, Marilyn. Love the POV, perspective, and the colors and frothy texture of the ocean water at the bottom.
I know that moment. I seem to carry it in my pocket and discover it every so often when I reach back for something. This really is a golden shot - in many ways. Come home, Marilyn. Northern California misses you very much.
Classic stuff ... nice work!
Things that touches your inner feelings is right here.... Nice capture. Aloha
