visual puns are hard, and not many do them well. (Saul Steinberg did them well, yet he's one of a handful.) Well you do them well too! Love everything you did here, the puns themselves are deft & funny & to the point. (If puns aren't, they fall on their face.) And your execution is as deft as can be. The "strong water" is beautiful--I mean, you used the 3 tones subtly as can be (I assume all are of the same basic hue). And the shading & detail is really beautiful Koosie. (You got 'interior light' beautifully. I'd put that on my wall.) Good choice of color for Mary. And the two free radicals are funny on several levels, not least that the term is chemical as well as political. (I wonder if they don't resemble some biochemical formulae---you sneak in all kinds of stuff when no one's looking, it could happen!) I love the second free radicals: They look like 24th C. police or two dudes with reeeeeallly cool sunglasses. Your choice of 3 tones, in every case, is spot on, and your modeling is wonderful. And I just noticed that Mary's lamp had a candle in it! Saving on batteries! A delight! I missed the challenge, but visual puns are really hard for me. I think you have to have discipline to get just the right amount of info: Too much, you lose the pun. I go too far...these are just right.
