Description
M3, M4 and Millenium Dragon, rendered in Poser 6. Postwork in PS7.
King Brendanus and the two palace guards, Antonius and Glaius listen intently as the miners pick away at the rocks separating them from freedom. It seems like an eternity with little progress being made. Then there is silence for the longest time. Suddenly, there are loud rumblings on the other side of the cave-in, like the sounds of a huge rock slide. This sound continues for quite awhile until quite unexpectedly, they hear a voice asking them, ‘does anyone in here really want to be rescued?’ King Brendanus immediately recognizes the voice of his old friend Valos, one of the many friendly dragons of the mountains. The two guards look up and see the dragon and nearly jump out of their skins! They have never seen such a creature before. King Brendanus quickly calms their nerves by explaining that Valos means them no harm and quite generously has saved all their lives this day. After more enthusiastic greetings and emotional exchanges, Valos finishes clearing out a path large enough for King Brendanus and his guests to escape from the mine. A loud cheer from an enormous crowd greets all four characters as they come out of the mine. ‘You must visit us at the palace soon, Valos, so that I can properly thank you for coming to our rescue! There will be much feasting and merriment!’ Valos smiles broadly as he accepts the King’s invitation on the condition it is extended to the whole mining village. King Brendanus gladly extends the invitation to the entire village, for he had intended doing that anyway. They set the date for the following week so that proper preparations can be made to do justice to this celebration.
