Description
Going on the assumed age of when I rescued him, Tanner turns 5 mos old tomorrow. As you can see from the size of his paw in my hand, he has grown immensely! I guess-timate him to be about 20 lbs but he is long and thick so its very awkward to try to lift him. Believe me when I say he has hit the terrible two's, he still has so much puppy in him but wants to act like a big dog, like HE is the boss. He will deliberately get up on the picnic table tho he has been scolded over and over..In this photo you can see he is giving me attitude because he wants to get up there and get my juice, he is barking and growling at me.
He is so cute its hard not to laugh when he does some of this stuff. He gets praised for the good things he does, like he will sit when I tell him to but he is squirming the whole time and so winds up scooting across the floor to where he wants to get to. The potty training is finally complete tho I have a hard time getting him out the door when its raining or cold, I can hardly wait for the snow! He has an A frame shelter to get out of the rain and I gave him a big blanket so he is off the ground...But! he won't leave the blanket in there, he thinks its a toy and drags it all over the yard. He tears around the yard like a streak, I swear 60 mph! He has a specific thing he does every time he goes out. He will walk the perimeter of the yard stopping to sniff here and there, inspects all his toys and makes sure they are all where he left them. Then he is ready to eat and then to play. He watches the squirrels and birds but doesn't chase them. He still barks at everything he hasn't seen before. he still buries his dog biscuits but not his bones which I find very strange. Needless to say I love this monster to bits.

He looks to be a bit more than 20 pounds! Thanks so much for this posting - we've missed hearing about and seeing Tanner. He sounds like loads of fun - and reminds me very much of my girl, Sunshine. She gets that very same attitude when she wants her way. He is far too fun, and I really enjoy hearing about him. Again, thanks! Hope you're feeling well today.

What great captures! Love that look on the right! He definitely has his eye on you to see how far he can go. I have a cat that used to drag fussy blankets around. I had to quickly remove him if there was company, because of what he did with them.

there was a pit bull in the alley yesterday and he was friendly so I gave him a dog biscuit. I suppose it was his first. he ran around throwing the bone and then finally stopped and ate it.he was built like (brick out house). yours is a pretty Pitt and I know you love him
