Young King BRENDANUS tells King DIOMEDES' two palace guards in his charge that he would like them to allow his attendants and tailor to groom them so they are more presentable to his court. He doesn't demand it, but says it would make them more acceptable to his subjects. After some grumbling between them, they comply, knowing this is what their King, DIOMEDES, would want. Once they finish their make overs, they are presented to King Brendanus for his inspection. I think it is safe to say he is well satisfied. In fact, he is overheard to say, 'I think I will have to try and talk King Diomedes into letting these two stay on longer than a month, in the interest of fair trade and all that, of course.' Little does he know King Diomedes is having similar thoughts regarding the Viceroy, Sir Homerus, King Brendanus' younger brother.
