Description
The previous photo showed the lower forest viewed from above but was about the plight of the fir trees. This one is from a place in the lower elevations, looking upward.
Note how the distant trees become mostly evergreens and how in the close foreground, the deciduous trees have not fully adopted the colors of autumn. I thought this a nice view of fall change from a low spot following the trees upward on the mountains in this beautiful parkland.
This is likely the last Smoky Mountains image for a while. I will enjoy the others and personal shots I have and go on when ready to posting other images.
Landscape is not my specialty or strength by any means and I do appreciate the kind remarks made on the series of photos from the mountains. Come visit sometime, you will love it. Do you like short day hikes or overnight trails? This is a fine place to do that. I really do love being in these forests.

Stunning photo. I love the contrast of the autumn trees with the soft blue of the sky. Beautiful shot as was you last one.
Beautiful shot. It reminds of a shot I have of Cradle Mountain, but I like yours better because of all the deciduous trees.
