Description
These guanacos were near Caleta Valdes on the Atlantic Coast of Peninsula Valdes, Chubut Province, Patagonia, Argentina. In Argentina guanacos range throughout Patagonia from sea level to 13,000-ft. They are up to 4-ft. tall at the shoulder.
I realized taking this picture, that a Canon PowerShot A40 was not the best camera to take these kinds of pictures. The guanacos are very shy and never let me come very close, and I am not sure if I wanted them to come close.
This picture was taken on 16 December 2003.
