Description
I have got so many animal images that I have decided to start posting some of them. They might not be as exciting as the "Big Five" animals but some of them are pretty darn cool!
This is one of my favourite antelopes - The Sable. They are such gracious creatures and I love the horns! In Afrikaans it is called Swartwitpens which, directly translated, means Black-White-Stomach....
Thanks for popping in and for your ongoing support and comments!.
Stay well!
Hugs
Carin xx

the horns are amazing!!!
great capture in autumn landscape,,,very nice
Oh, those horns are wonderful. Do they make musical instruments from them? I can see a lovely harp in them. He's really richly black, isn't he, with a heavy upper build. And from your superb photo, it seems their ears really pivot well!
Wonderful wildlife photo.
Good control.
What awesome serrated and segmented horns you have, grandpa! A stunningly majestic animal on display in this stunning shot, Carin! And that is some white tush it sports.
Very nice!
Carin this is a beautiful capture of such a serene animal, you can post as many animal pics as you like, as you know I am the ardent animal lover. Thank you for your support of my little feline Halloween stories, I am so happy that you are enjoying them. Tomorrow (Wednesday) there will be the third part, so I hope you have time to take a peek dear friend. hugs Jane xx

Gorgeous animal Carin. The horns are amazing and the power in those front legs and shoulders. Keep the animals coming – top 5 or not. Dana
Ek sien dieselfde ding soos Clive! :) 'N indrukwekkende diere. He's quite beautiful!
Great capture Carin!
Wonderful capture Carin.
Ooh, I love the sound of Afrikaans...it's like Dutch with a suntan. Sables are graceful creatures and this one is very, very male! Animals are always so incredible fascinating, especially in terms of their color patterns...I mean, what possible purpose could those pants with such a white seat serve?! Fantastic capture. And I'll bet you didn't know that Sables wore pants! :-) Wonderful work!
