Description
Went visiting one of my local ponds on Tuesday this week.
Nothing earth shaking here but it was great to find a day without completely gray skies!

A motley crew indeed! Did you know that many species of ducks interbreed freely and produce all sorts of mixed race types? Only one Mallard in the whole lot here!

What a variety! I've never seen such a thing. We pretty much just have mallards here. This might be more fascinating than you had imagined! (I like the one in the back on the far right.)
seems they have been cross breeding. beautiful scene. we went almost a month with gray skies and had a break for one day.now it is gray again with flooding
Ducks all seem to have the same look about them regardless of their age, color or breed...They are very open to whatever they see and curious about everything. Great shot.
Did you notice the one rebel in the crowd - swimming in the opposite direction... He/She is my fav! Lovely image Bill... they can be so entertaining! :)
