Description
As we left Catalina Saturday afternoon, we sailed right into the fog bank that had been off the coast all day. This boat was making its way back into Avalon, getting lost in the mist.
You can barely see the outline of Catalina itself.

Beautiful shot and work!
Extraordinary!! I expect the Ancient mariner to appear any moment.
Other-worldly. This is another winner...coloring, mist, sun reflecting off the water. If I took this photo it would look very common by comparison:)
Very cool. Great shot!
Soft and gentle... one of those moments when it seems the name Pacific fits.
Wow how beautiful !!!
Stellar Marilyn! WOW - the atmosphere is amazing! Well done! :)
A real twilight zone effect...nice...
wonderful capture warm hugs, Linda
Superb capture nice ghostly one, love the sun reflecting off the waves and the boat sailing out of the fog.. Excellent Marilyn.
superb!!!!
do look like a ghost here
This is gorgeous! Nicely moody! Misty veils of fog always do that though, and the crispness of the water rocks! I love the comment you wrote as well, it fits in so many ways, and the boat sailing through the mist into Avalon recalls the title of an interesting take on the King Arthur legend by Marrion Zimmer-Bradley: The Mists of Avalon...great work on every level, and now I think I'm going book hunting.
I love this, as you already know. Perfect saturation! :P
great shot marilyn x
