Description

This is done as a "background" image but posted in plants genre. Each year I shoot a few photos of this plant. This day, rain had just passed and the individual tufts were tightly closed. On dry days, all open exposing the very fuzzy and soft interior, like dandelion fuzzies for the seeds. Then, you can run a palm across the spray and feel only shy softness pass by. A drop of water or two and you can watch all close tightly to shed water and protect the forming seeds.

This is really a great shot. I love that it is JUST grass because you can see the lines, arches and the green against the cloudy sky. It is very peaceful.
