Description
Hi there.
This carnivorous plant I found beside the Fly trap.
They attract insects and spiders, sometimes snakes and frogs, with smell and look. If they land on the slippery peristome (the lip) they fall down in the pitcher cup. The trap contains a fluid of the plant's own production to drown the prey.
Along the upper inside part of the trap is a slick waxy coating which makes the escape of its prey nearly impossible. The lid above the peristome keeps rain from the pitcher cup.
Have all a great weekend, my friends.
