Bumblebees are nifty little critters, very big too! This shot is a bit over-exposed though. I would have gone with a faster shutter speed and maybe F/16. The over-exposure is why the purple of the flower is turning to white, thus loosing any detail. If your camera has a histogram or a setting that allows you to review your images while simultaneously seeing a histogram next to it, you would see values peaking at the right side for blown highlights, and peaking to the left side for shadows that clip to black. Ideally, you want the exposure to remain in the middle.
I agree with idehaven, it would be even better a bit darker.

I agree with Jeff too - that was just a quick one. The bumblebee was really busy and stayed just a few seconds so I could not try some experimental shots. Some critters are more friendly g
