Well Bob, you put 2009 right in the corner there... lol! J/K, I'm assuming they're following the Mayan calendar and it's doomsday prophecy. Nicely done characters, I like how their clothing reflects the colors of the characters themselves and their makeup. Very nicely done.

I find this an extremely interesting image. What caught my initial interest was the lighting on the center figure.. but the entire triptych is just wonderful. Nice to see something with so much thought behind it!!

Here are some of the details that you could miss. The image over the moon godess is a moon, the image over the sun godess is a sun. At the very top of the panels are the numbers 12, 21, 12 (the date of the 2012 prophesy). The stars behind the panels is the edge of the milky way galaxy (earth will be aligned with the edge). The blood moon is an old symbol of destruction. The crystal skull is of course on of the 12 crystal skulls that will stop the destruction. The hand of the godesses are meaningfull too.
