Description
Half the folks I know on Rendo like to see it all. The other half like to see only part of the whole.
This is for all of you who like the bits and pieces.
My daughters had plastic big wheels when they were 4-6 years old...BUT NOTHING THIS BIG.
7' 2" driving wheel from Steamer 999 in my previous upload.

EXCELLENT. :-)
I guess I am a bitsa kind of guy, Bill, I love this! Great work in B&W and the tone. Cheers, Clive
Fantastic shot and crop, I bet that was auntie who wanted the crop lol, great work Bill, the sepia rich tone works well!
very nice !
Awesome capture! Very nice pov. :)
Love the post work tones and shot! Great work Bill!
Very cool photo. Great tone for the subject!
'Twould make a grand painting!
Great photo.
I like the detail very much. I'm not fundamentalist as for detail and cropping vs. whole thing. It depepnds on the author's mood, what s/he wants to say with an image, etc. So do as you feel like!
excellent, Bill, thank for a fave!
Keeps on turning--what a beautiful shot, that golden tone is gorgeous!!
Looks spruced up.
Wow, great shot. The tones are fantastic. I like bits and pieces sometimes too. Aloha
That is a big wheel, doesn't look that big on the engine.
Excellent detail shot...!!!!
Seven foot and 2 inches puts that in perspective. Great capture.
Lovely shot Bill thats some big wheel, well captured, would have also been good to have someone standing near it to give a relationship of its size... As Barbara said it didnt look as big on the loco when seen as a whole.. which is what my thought was when I read it on the stats in the link you kindly put up on the first shot.. Excellent capture!!
I love it! Perfect POV and presentation, I have one very slight critique you have a couple of blown highlights.
Wonderful capture..
LOve the tones, great job BM!
Really that tall??? Mind blowing!!
fabulous detail!! great light!
Even though I belong to the half that wants to see it all, I must admit that this is one fine composition, with those impressive contrasts, of the vast wheel, Bill.
LOL great shot! LOL
I am drawn more toward the whole enchilada .never the less, an excellent pov and shot.the drive wheels on one of 25 made(5 remaining) longest articulated locomotives ever to run in the US(most of the world) which is in the rail museum here, is 68"(4-8-8-4) Wheel arrangement I believe but I have stood next to it and it seems much taller.St Louis has one also
This looks splendid close up.
Oh, you know which I prefer! :D I saw this and made a beeline for the thumb. Excellent work!
This is a classic in more ways than one - excellently done!
Wonderful.
