Description
A bald eagle, symbol of freedom in the USA...this is a reminder the bird is still here.
The beautiful eagle is on the mend with a recently pinned broken leg. Movement is restricted to a small area to prevent further injury.
I could not help but imagine this bird seeing the "state of the union", from shadows where some may want to ignore its presence.
This photo was taken in dark shadow, f/1.4, ISO 500. Fine detail is somewhat smoothed.

Unusual and a fine image.

I like your presentation and its powerful meaning. Well done!
Simply beautiful and powerful, dear Tom. Excellent work, nice to see a post from you. Hugs and God Bless. Diane. xx
Very mysterious and regal.
The feeling you projected here, for whatever reason, is one of being closely watched over by "freedom." A most spectacular shot and awesome mood. She is a gorgeous bird. She seems to be doing well - a nice health color to the beak and alertness in the eyes. She's anxious to get back "home." I hope that won't be too long...
Beautiful image! It evokes a powerful emotional response. I hope he heals quickly and well.
