Very excellent work!! Thanks for the inside peek .. looking forward to more!
excellent
Very cool work
Nice to see your work-flow and super result Les, but at 31 million poly's, I would hate import it back into Poser or some other 3D app...it would have a heart attack ! Well done & ~Cheers~
A very interesting glimpse of what goes on Les, it's great to see the progression. Damn I need Zbrush!
Fantastic work Les and character excellent modeling a pleasure to see behind the scenes on this, Dayna xx
Thanks everyone! Just so there's no confusion, the multi-million poly final sculpts are only used inside Zbrush. The way zbrush works, you subdivide a model up to these insane poly counts and sculpt/paint all the tiny details, then it uses the difference between the lowest resolution mesh and the highest to generate your color, displacement and normal maps. The normal maps are absolutely the most important, IMO, because those really capture all those high res geometric details in a a way that allows them to be seen on a low res mesh. -Les
That is such a cool creature you've created, it's fascinating to see the sequences that led to the final product.
dang awesome work
I so need to invest in Zbrush. Thanks for the peek Les and Rebekkah!
