A day of surprises, and upheaval here in The Lounge. The Twins, Yvette and Babette, have taken a contract to perform for the season at a casino onthe French Riviera.... owned by some dippy ex- British Secret Service guy who won the casino in a game..... I mean, I can't blame the girls, for wanting to expand their horizons, seek out new life forms, boldly go where... oh, wait... So, the girls are packing up, their sorry to leave but it's only temporary..... unless they manage to marry into money or royalty while over there, they will return when their contract ends. I wish the best for them, helping them pack, a bit of sadness, but I'm happy for them.... While thegirls were off doing some final arrangements, I noticed Toscette sitting of to the side, very quiet... she's not a normally quiet kind of person.... I went over and sat beside her... "Toscette... what's wrong?" "The Twins... I'm going to miss them, we had fun together, they taught me things... they're my friends..." I put my arm around Toscette, held her close, and for the first time in all the centuries I've known her, she started to cry... I thought the tears would burn through my flesh... I consoled her as best I could, said she could see them anytime she wanted to, visit them, flying there on any one of the flying machines I've collected over the years.... She brightened a bit. Then I told her about Paris and the life there, the city of lights,and she smiled.... she smiled.... she stood and went over to the twins, they talked for a few moments, and then all three let out a laugh of delight....I could hear them talking about how on their days off, Toscette would fly in and they'd hang out and go shopping... all is well in the world again...now I have to increase my limit on my credit card.... so, come on down to the Lounge, we're putting together a going away party for the Girls... it's gonna be a blast!
