Before during and after the Lounge Wars, The citizens would bet on any type of sporting pursuit, the more dangerous, the better. The most dangerous sport was Land Speed Records, on the Mining Planet of Bonne-Evil (aptly named Bonne = Good for all the resources that just bubble to the surface... and Evil = uh well, evil in that it's almost impossible to live there.). Originally, crews had to drive to their mining facilities from crew quarters, and enterprising souls turned the long tip into a speed sport. Pictured here is the current record holder D'ani-Ka Pahtrk beside her Orenda powered Moto. The Trike, for the most part a feul tank flanked by a pair of jet engines, and grounded by titanium wheels. You don't steer these machines, they run in grooves cut into the rock surface.... you just hang on and hope to complete the run..... The Lounge Wars, Chapter 35 "Faster than a speeding bullet" Back here in the Lounge with my friends, kicking back, enjoying the tunes and the air conditioning... The Twins, Yvette and Babette, tell me they may have great news, they'll let me know..... why do I feel a bit of unease about this? anywho, come on down, you'll find us in our regular booth, back by the caricatures.
