Description
Back again.
I recently purchased Daz's Freak 4, and in my usual style spun up a gentle giant. My issue was I couldn't clothe him, as none of the clothing items I had would accommodate my excessive dial-spinning and scaling. I thought instead that I would try my hand again at making clothing for him, using only Poser.
My previous clothing test used Anton's brilliant Apollo, which yielded only 'ok' results. The problem was Apollo's incredibly efficient mesh, because realistic draping needs lots of polys.
For anyone interested, here is my previous test:

I used the exact same principle here, using Poser's grouping tool on Freak's mesh and spawn a prop in the shape of a shirt (being sure to weld seams, or you end up with fabric scraps). I then simple scaled the prop up 1 or two percent to give a little room to move, and ran it through the cloth-room.
Not a bad result...and the price is right :)
Anyway, I've written enough. Comments and constructive criticism always welcome.

cool render - great character!
cool..ya dressing the freak isn't going to be easy..although I bought the pro bundle which gave me a couple of outfits.... and of course that pink tutu... great render.and I think you're shirt came out good.
Look great. Did you have to use the morph brush to tweak any folds after running the cloth simulation?
i like what you did
He looks very dapper, you did a wonderful job. I too purchased the Pro bundle, I don't know why, I hardly ever use people in my scenes. I just couldn't resist his charm (lol). You made him look even better. Great render.
Very cook. I like his facial expression very much.
Thanks for the comments everyone. yelocloud - Yes, I use the morph brush here and there to smooth out a few strange folds. I have to do this for most dynamic clothing anyway, so it wasn't a big deal :).
I've never tried to make clothes, don't know the first thing about it... do you know of any good video tutorials for beginners on the cloth room??? - you did great on the shirt... you aught to market it - but, before you do, come up with some kick ass design like OP did years ago but use it as YOUR BRAND of clothing... I plan on doing that - someday, when I get there.
Thanks Mike. Good to see you around. I’m sure there are video tutorials out there for the Cloth Room, but I’ve never used one. I tend to learn by way of experimentation…which while more fun (and rewarding in some respects) is arguably a far slower process. I’ll be happy to send you a step-by-step guide to how I do things. PM me if you (or anyone else) is interested. The beauty of this way of making clothing is it’s made for that precise character, regardless of morph or scale. I wouldn’t dream of selling this shirt, or even making it available in Free-stuff because it’s designed specifically for my custom Freak morph. Besides, it’s Daz’s mesh I’m using (or at least part of their mesh) and I doubt they’d take kindly to me selling it piece by piece. :)
Superb,he reminds me of Jimmy a Morph for M4
