Description
Dewey Parks is his name and how cool is that. He is my 86 year old friend that I go to visit when I am feeling low. Some of you may remember him from a post a few years back called "Dewey The Ladies Man". He never ages and he has a wonderful positive energy with a magical twinkle in his eyes that many young people lack. And he just LOVES to have his picture taken. He gave me two blue Hydrangeas that he started from seeds in his greenhouse and 25 tomatoes. Dewey you rock!! Also if anyone has the time there is a very cool song called "Hello In There" by John Prine about older people:)

What a nice photo. He looks like he is still in touch with his adolescence. I really appreciated photographs like this.
He looks GREAT! Tell him I'd be round there if I lived a lot closer!
He looks like he'd be a lot of fun to visit with and listen to stories of the 'old days'....I love hearing stories from the older people.
This is fantastic, terrific and funny Cynthia. An outstanding capture. This turned out great. The lighting is perfect. Really farout image. If he were a few years older, I'd grab him up in a minute. I love faces that tell a story. Huggs... Silkylady...
what a wonderful portrait of this friend of yours with the joy in his eyes
What a wonderful portrait! I love that song. I've gone off to YouTube and found a version to listen to while I look at this image of your friend. A most excellent experience!
If only more people had his character and personality...the world would be a better world. Excellent portrait of Dewey
Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo of beautiful man.
you are luck to have a friend who is full of life and can be there for you when needed, he is a friend indeed. i'm sure that young ladies would love to be with him and enjoy his talks. regards to him.
This is a wonderful photo that captures the essence of a swinging cat. Perhaps it should be entitled "Dewey, one swinging cat." There was another famous cat named Dewey, an American Shorthair that lived in an Iowa library. I'm sure your Dewey is more life affirming and fun to be with. "(Dewey) swings like a pendulum do . . . ."
excellent portrait
