Description
This might be the last of the iris shots for this year! Well ... no promises. It's the last one that's ready. :D
This was one of my two favorites, the other being Lemon Meringue which I posted at the beginning of July.
I think I like shooting iris blooms better than almost any other flower. They're so intriguing!

I LOVE it, It's gorgeous !!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the purple. It's one of my favorite flower colors. Great shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great shot! Love the colour I love iris blooms as well, although this year, due to a complete digout of the garden and late replanting of the iris roots, there were very few blooms, although next year.....
Nice macro. Irises such interesting shapes.
just beautiful!
This close up like a piece of art. So wonderful color and a great curves and lines.
I love this, and the title is perfect. Purple happens to be my favorite color as well...which I suspect is a Leo thing...but no matter, this is a great shot! I love the details, the richness of it (richness befits purple, after all...it is, indeed a color that was originally used only BY the rich, due to the difficulty in producing purple dye.) Great work on this. I agree that the curves and natural sweeps are astounding.
wonderfull :)
Another fascinating geography of an iris; you do this better than anyone I've ever seen! Such wonderful texture and color, it's luscious!
Stunning Tara! Love the colors and texture but the swirling petals form an all together different image. Like a floral maze. Dana
