Description
This might be the last of the iris shots for this year! Well ... no promises. It's the last one that's ready. :D
This was one of my two favorites, the other being Lemon Meringue which I posted at the beginning of July.
I think I like shooting iris blooms better than almost any other flower. They're so intriguing!

Gorgeous drapery effect in this gorgeous floral close-up!5+++
Very special capture. Wonderful
I had an aunt named Iris. Stellar lighting effects, textures and magenta blends in this magnificent macro! And, I like the purple caterpillar at the bottom.
WOW WHAT AMAZING COLORS. I LOVE THESE FLOWERS AND THEIR "BEARDS".
Incredible shot - stunning colour.
the clarity here is stunning, it's a stunning shot of a flower's many folds & convolutions, even more powerful than some of your others (and they were quite powerful). Your crop makes it seem even more exotic and other-worldly; and the layers behind (in the "background") seem more & more like big flower buildings in a flower city; and those purple stamens are even more like a creeping caterpillar or big feathered scarf. Just wonderful, an example of your flower photography at its best. Stunning.
This is stunning. The minute I saw it I could picture a copy of this and a copy of Lemon Meringue hanging side by side on my bathroom wall. Wow, what a spectacular pairing that would make. You have given me a deeper appreciation for the iris by the way you capture their beauty.
well this is very beautiful ! they are always wondrful to look at
