Description
Devil's Peak, Table Mountain, Cape Town. The fire extinguisher hung on the tree is made of wood, painted red and serves as a reminder to be aware of starting fires. Sadly this did not work for Devil’s Peak in the background as it was ravaged by fire recently, covering the city bowl with smoke. We have had a spate of fires, set by arsonists which kept all the fire departments overloaded. Thankfully rain arrived with winter and curbed the incidents.
Cheers,
Clive

Stunning capture Clive. It is a pity though that there is are arsonis.
This is both strange and lovely at the same time...telling something more of a place I have not visited.
Instead of fire extinguishers, we have "Smokey Bear" here. (A cartoon bear wearing a forest service hat, jeans, and carrying a shovel.) It's a good reminder for responsible people to be careful, but it doesn't prevent arson. The symbolism of the fire extinguisher with Devil's Peak in the background is well done.
